In my old W203(53 plate) the from center arm rest had a flap that allowed the box to be cooled, which was great for keeping drinks cold in the summer.

I don't seem to have this option on the W211, does the glove box cool down instead or is there some where to keep drinks cool?

I have had a look but cant find any info on this for the 211

On my 230 I have one in the glove box and one in the center box.

Would it be possible to retrofit one into the glovebox of a w124?

I don't have this on my '55 plate W203, as far as I know! Is it only on older C class?

I have it on my 2004 face lift W203 coupe

I have it on my 2005 CLK, but there is no flap or switch on later models, only some perforated holes at the bottom of the centre console.
On a long run with air con switched on, I keep a metal sunglass case in there and it is ice cold to touch when I stop. If you can see the perforations then you probably still have this feature, but without the means to switch it on or off.

I'm sure there's a flap on my W211 right at the front of the lower armrest section - on the end near the gear selector - will check later!

Mine has a lever - operates like a face vent. I can modulate the amount of air or turn it completely off.
