Chrome Plated Wheels

Personally I wouldn't. The refelections just spoil the clean lines of the car.

Wheels should be silver for 98% of cars on the road.

need to go on a big dark car that has chrome trim and isnt sitting up high on its suspension, VIP look its called.

Where are you based?

I only ask because unless you live in a californian climate, the chrome will very quickly turn nasty.

Unless you live downtown Inglewood they look terrible:

My 1995 XJS originally came with chromed 5 spokes (it was an official Jaguar option costing about 1k). When I bought it those wheels were the first to go, being replaced with a set of refurbished painted 5 spokes. The chrome was in a shocking condition & it was all a bit bling for my liking.....

each to there own ii suppose...
i had some chrome wheels on my w202...... its all down to personal choice i now have something a bit more subtle....

only problem is if you kerb them youve had it!!!

Big thumbs down from me. They look totally chav to me. Standard monoblocks look far better and far more subtle.

I saw an X5 yesterday with chrome wheels, chrome light surrounds, chrome plate surrounds and various other chrome bits and bobs and it really looked tacky. How to spend £2000 and reduce the resale by £5000 at the same time.

Each to their own but not for me.

Chrome wheels have no place in this country.

They are nooo good here when the there is so salt on the road. once it gets under the clear coat you are finished

+ they are so 90's

Blaah! They offend the eyes, and are likely to land you a thread on barryboys :D

Each to their own, but I think nicely kept silver is the way to go. Plus damage on those is going to show up big-time!

couldn't find a dark colour one, search around for "VIP" or "Bippu" for some examples, looks good on some cars and nasty on others.
