Chrysler Crossfire

Irespecive of where the engine comes from, American reminds me of cheap plastic, poor handling and unreliable. There's much better cars out there.

The car below is a 320 and looks quite respectable ( photo doesn't show wear on seat bolster and boot badge looks odd ) , the 300 shouldn't have the engine wiring harness problem that afflicts 320's , but the one I drove previously was as clean as this car here

Mercedes-Benz SL Class 3.2 SL320 2dr

That looks tidy enough, but I wouldn't have thought of buying a car with that mileage.

R230's are generally known as money pits (ABC,PSE, roof and water ingress issues etc)...however there are good uns out their, you just need to find one that's been 'sorted'...I have often wanted a R230 but after speaking with my local indy they remind me of potential ownership reality:eek:

R129 seem much easier to maintain and generally reliable, I can vouch for my R129 300SL:thumb:

I would want something very reliable, cos I'm not much of a mechanic:o

Well , having previously bought a 300TE-24 with 430,000 miles and numerous other 150K+ miles MB's , 116K really looks just run in to me .

My autotrader searches usually only go up to 60k:o

You're rather more dedicated that myself, I usually only search within a 30 mile radius. :)

I would , and have , travel any distance within the UK mainland for the right car .

I've even bought a Ford Granada with 100K - kept it 5 years and then my Dad had it. Servicing and a new exhaust was the total maintenance for the next 80K miles.

Where it is, is irrelevant to me I'll go and have been everywhere for the right car. My search is usually national and up to 100k depending on car. If it's one known to need more frequent servicing then I drop it down to 60k

My comment was a joke. 60k mile radius for a car. Really. ;) Anyhow.....
