Hi there All.

I have just started with window issues with my CL, the rear drivers window will not close the last few mm resulting in wind noise and water leakage. Having to pull up and forward by hand to close and lock car. Also the drivers window on the one touch close goes all the way up then re opens by an inch every time.

Both windows interminterntly don't perform the last close movement for seal either on manual closure or soft close.

Are these all likely to be related or wondering if anybody has experience/explination and solutions for..? :wallbash:

Will they reset? (use manual 'UP' function on both, and hold button in place for 5 secs after window has stopped).

The usual cause of this sort of issue on the C215 is a broken wire in the drive's door hinge area - a very common problem.

Sorry... Yes tryed the up and hold to reset trick but hasn't resolved any of the issues.

Back to that common broken wire, I suggest you try all window functions through driver's door whilst slowly opening/closing the door - do they glitch?

With the car turned off, Lift up the rear seat behind the drivers one (it's got a plastic clip holding it in) when you take it up, there is foam under it, pull the foam up, you might have to rip it but it doesn't matter, noone can see it! Under this there will be a black controll box with 2 sockets plugged into it on one side. Unplug both sockets for 5min then plug in. This should reset the control box and your windows should be back to normal!

I know it's been a while but thought you might be interested to hear and thought I'd try this...

Took Alex Crow's advice about electrical problem test for operating switches while opening and closing door and guess what showed up the problem with wiring at the hinge.

This fixed the window, wing mirror and puddle light issues but still left rear quarter window problem.

Followed m2287's lead and problem with quarter window solved too...

Pass the word on with these faults as Garage wanted to change the Door Control Module @£350 plus labour and any extras and said fault with rear quarter window was a motor replacement @£180 plus labour... Reckon You guys saved me best part of a £K on this one...

Many Thanks... :bannana:
