Driving to Vienna last week from Frankfurt, and no-one managed to overtake me - until I got within 20 miles of the Austrian boarder, and a BMW 5 series decides to pull up next to me (I was in the 'slow' lane at 90mph). Two chaps in it look at me, then speed off. I started to accelerate, then they slowed down again and I caught them up. Then they decide to speed up again 
I left a gap and then sped up to undertake them
They sped up too and matched my speed. They then suddenly braked and I realised there was an overhead speed camera gantry, so I braked with them too.
Shortly after this they sped up again, pulled in front of me and the BMW lit up with blue lights and 'STOP, Police' in the rear window
After a short brown pants moment I pulled over to a rest area, where they both got out of the BMW with big grins on their face and asked me a few questions. Showed them my passport and driving licnese, they had a chat for what seemed like ages, and then said, 'Have a good day, Many Thanks' and zoomed off into the distance!
So I managed to overtake the police as well, for a short while
