bit of a mercedes novice here, i just bought a cl600 at the weekend (private buy) and have noticed after the car has been stood overnight the front suspention drops right down, more so on the drivers side, as soon as i put it in drive it raises up, but noticed this morning the lcd screen was saying, "warning active body control to low do not drive":( but as soon as i engaged drive the car lifted and the warning went off, should i be worried

that is a beast you got there.can`t help you but hope you`ll get it sorted

In short...yes!

I had a similar problem caused be a leaky suspension pump. For a short while it rectified itself by pressuring the system but that only lasted a couple of days, but soon needed help from my wallet to sort it out longer term.

The oil leaked very slowly - wasn't showing up on a garage floor etc.

Well if you're going to jump in, then a CL600 is certainly going in at the deep end.

We need pictures please.....;)

Hello

No idea with your problem but hope its sorted without selling too many limbs.

Pictures please :)

What did you have before the CL600

:crazy:You bought a CL600 without getting it inspected? Hmmmm, you local garage is gonna love you!

Not 100% sure about cars with ABC, but there is def a leak somewhere. The fact that is rises up straight away shows that its prob not the pump. Hope you got the car at a low price, because this is going to be ££££.

Try looking at benzworld.org-they have a lot of 600 owners on there (prob cos its a US site)

Did you not do any research into the W215 ? did you not have it inspected ? I hope it's not the pump, as has been mentioned that will be very expensive. What year what mileage etc etc ?? and good luck.
Where are you located if South East get in touch with Olly (BlackC55) member and let him look at it, he has his own Garage.

Mine does it some times frequently some times not at all. Been like that after one of the rear shocks had to be replaced ((us sensor) went to a mechanic recommended by this forum who did not do a good job). Does not seem to alter the car at all. Went to Germany a few months ago diving in excess 150mph for hours at a time felt total solid as well as driving in town. Get it fixed if it doesn't rise back up otherwise leave it.
