CL65 ownership

I've had the car for 5 days now and am still in awe of it. i've not properly tested the car so to speak. the front discs need to be replaced and thanks to Acid i have a new set of discs and Pads on the way! so based on that, insurance and the years tax i had to put on today - thats £2,300 spent in the last 5 days (and thats not counting the petrol ) still i dont think theres another car i'd rather own right now!

Must be massive, My s600 ones are OEM merc and where £250 for the disca and 200 for the pads, and they are huge.
Are yours groved aswell as drilled

i believe they are which is why they are so expensive - pretty good price you got for OEM!

whats involved in that Adam and whats the net effect (more noise - anything else??)

Not much else no, the noise will increase but it isn't in anyway intrusive on the inside, especially on a CL with a very good high-quality cabin. It makes enough noise on the outside to turn heads when you get on the loud pedal and it will sound amazing. You need to visit a professional outfit (LongLife are highly recommended as an example) and they'll simply replace your silencer (sometimes called muffler in the US) with stainless steel piping. thats it.

get it lpg gas converted. V8 conversions now for £1400 and will pay for its self after 12 months. After that you will be saving money.

Sounds like an awesome machine you've got there. Could we have some pictures.....pretty please?

Last year, I drove an SL65, and was blown away with how fast it was. Not much noise on the move, though, but that's the beauty of a super fast 'bahn stormer.

I trust you'll continue to enjoy her, despite the running costs. Mind you, one doesn't buy cars like this to care too much about the costs - you just concentrate on the experience behind the wheel and how massive your smile is every time you get in the car
