What with the volcano and air travel disruption, air tickets to Hamburg for the Europa semi-final might be a waste of time. Could have access to a 2008 CLK 220CDi to drive it - what fuel consumption can I expect for a high speed 'four-up' return trip via the Eurotunnel?

At a constant 80 or so you will prob get around 50mpg or a bit worse but depends on what you mean by high speed!!! You might get 30mpg if you tank it down there!! Im thinking of driving mine down to Puerto Banus on Wednesday for the weekend stag do!!!

Mid 40's MPG easily.

Years ago in a Rover 420sdi My brother and I drove back from the Frankfurt Motorshow. 4 hours at 120 - 125 and it still did 40mpg !!!! amazing.

I would think as its worse now for cameras etc you will be doing well at 80mph, assuming you and a few mates + Luggage 40mpg should be easy.
