Yep, I'll second that MPG figure. I regularly get 26-28mpg on my commute to work.

Bear in mind that i live in Central London, my average trip readout is 17.1mpg over 17,000 odd miles. That includes some motorway driving and A roads.

It depends whether the price difference between the two cars is an issue for you, if not, go with the fiftyfive everytime.
