clk boot promlem

I have a 2000 clk 36000 miles. boot has stopped working will not open from the fob or from the boot lock itself ,only from the special key on the fob ,help please

I had same car, same year and same problem 2 years ago

The topic has been discussed previously and you may find it on the forum somewhere.

There could be a problem with airlines to central locking mechanism in the boot, either broken or become unattached. someone posted pictures on here somewhere I believe. May be worth a quick check.

On mine it turned out to be a siren linked to central locking which has a battery which after 13 years runs down, the boot wont open using boot release or fob, only on key. The siren could need replacing. A good Indie could do it for £60-80. If I recall on mine if I opened or closed (cant remember it was a while ago) I could a very faint sound like an alarm going off.
