Clk Cab W209 window glass

The window on the drivers side door "rattles" slightly when the door is being closed, otherwise the window operates fine.....the glass seems to be slightly loose..

This is not a major problem but just does not sound right when you close the door.

Can anyone tell me what might be the problem....I'm thinking that a fixing might be loose and/or need adjustment?

The door panel needs to be removed and you should be able to see where it is coming from. I have done a few before.

Any tips on removing the door panel....is it straightforward?

Having done some research now, it seems that removing the door panel will not give much, if any access to the window mech......it seems that the way to adjust / tighten the glass is to remove the rubber bungs from the bottom of the door and these give access to the securing screws...is this correct?

No. In the end I decided it was too much trouble to sort and I just lived with it.
