Clk questions...

My first post

Recently purchased a clk 200k on a 54 plate. (Sensible option over the S350 for my first Benz)

I was curious as to upsizing the alloys and lowering the ride. Would I get 18"s on and fit 45mm lowering springs without any problems?

Also I was contemplating fitting bigger brakes from a larger engined clk...
Would this be possible? Its mainly for looks as I feel the existed calipers/discs would look tiny with bigger wheels fitted. :-/

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm a complete newb when it comes to modifying cars and even more so when it comes to mercedes...

Should all be feasible.
AMG sport version comes with 18" wheels/bigger brakes, lowered suspension as standard.

Yes -it is. (Or to be pedantic c209 for coupe a209 for cabrio)
You can just see the bigger brakes in this photo, along with the 18" wheels

So should I be looking at brakes from a clk240 or clk320?? And are they a straight fit?

Someone has done a very similar upgrade, but i think that only the 55 and AMG sports have the bigger calipers/vented disks.

I might do that brake upgrade, the orignal pre-facelift ones arent the best!

I just don't want to fit big five spoke wheels and have everyone laugh at my little calipers lol
