CLK rear wheel arches rust

At what point are we talking?? To finish , no .. to treat etc yes..

I was intending to use a paint brush or roller to do all the job from start to finish, the POR15 is in paint form not in spray, so my last coat which would be the final finish coat would be completed in this

I'll be doing the same thing soon... mine is at a stage of very light speckles of rust at the moment, but would be silly to let it spread. Or is this something that may be covered by Mercedes corrosion warranty?
