Newbie question but:- I recently bought a 2001 CLK Cabrio and, following a search, read somewhere else on the Forum about somones problem with what seemed like a mechanism for presenting the seatbelt (?) forward to make it easier to take hold of. It does seem like a bit of contortion is needed to grab the belt buckle but since I dont know any better I just assumed this was normal. So.... am I missing something or should something work to make the belt easier to get hold of or am I barking up the wrong tree?

Its the model I am afraid, you and I have the W208 which never had the seat belt presenter fitted.

The previous W124 coupe and the current CLK W209 have it, we do not.

The manual says to hook the seat belt over the seat back handle, but to be honest thats a bit cr4p in my opinion.

Its the only bad bit though :)

Oh well... I guess the extra mobility I now need to find is another thing to put on the List of Reasons to go back to the Gym ;)
