That’s my point - the reason it is done per calendar month is historic - post office had sheets of pre-printed tax discs.

No need for it to be charged like that anymore.

Same as when you buy or sell a vehicle - they only refund the whole months, and charge whole months again for the new keeper - it’s a con!

Random update for anyone that might care (probably not..)

I finally sold the car at the end of the summer (got 500 from we buy any car (I know..)) - I always though it was a great project for someone - but I didnt have the capacity to look after it..

Randomly had a look on the mot website - and wow - someone got it through an MOT in October.. kinda fills me with joy that it lives on for another little while - loved that car!
I wonder if anyone on here is running around GB with an NI plate that taxed it Nov 1st.. May you have many happy miles if it is you!

Thats a shame , the AMG wheels (that look like the real thing from the photo) were probably worth £1K .
