Hello

I've purchased the AutoGlym soft top cleaning kit. It says not to use a pressure washer to clean it once I've sprayed the cleaning spray.
My question is, is it ok to pressure wash it prior to spraying the cleaner as the hood is very dirty (mould etc)?
And does anyone have any pointers to cleaning the hood? Do's and dont's?

Thanks

I give it a good scrub with a nailbrush and fairy liquid solution in a bucket then a good rinse with a hose.
Bits of fluff etc come off a treat with one of those sticky roller things from Wilkos/Tescos. - around a quid or two
And once a year, a good coating of Fabisil Gold to keep the water beading - around £16 from Go Outdoors.

Keeps it looking like new.

As ted says, get it wet and give it a good scrub with a brush, when wet i then use the autoglym cleaning solution, and it gets nice and soapy, keep scrubbing.

Then hose it off let it dry, and spray it with the waterproofer, job done.

Renovo ultra proofer is very good (and the cleaner but you've already got Autoglym). In fact I've just cleaned and treated mine again and it's come up a treat. I apply the cleaner with a 1.5" paintbrush, leave to work for 45mins then rinse and dry before two coats of proofer, again using a paintbrush and working it in well.
