Dreaded SRS light on but no air bag warning light.Car thinks there is someone in the passenger seat as it presents seat belt.If I disconnect the passenger occupancy sensor the seat belt pesenter still works!Code reader shows passenger seat occupancy faulty or wrong .
Any ideas anyone I don't want to buy sensor pad if it's a wiring problem but I would have thought a break in the wiring would not make the presenter work

Thanks

Thanks Paul , should have said tried that when that's connected air bag light comes on and extra error code shows error connecting to seat occupancy sensor .

I too have the 'dreaded' SRS light on my '06 CLK! The only noticeable thing is that the drivers seat presenter does not work. Oh and the failure notice in the speedo.

Does anyone know if a good Specialist should be able to cope with the problem or will I have to go to an official Merc dealer?

Hope you do not mind me barging in on your thread!

Common issue on CLK so a good specialist should be able to help. You dont have your location in your detials so difficult for anyone to recommned someone to you.

Worth getting the codes read as could be several things from loose connector to a more serious problem.

I'm always sceptical about these emulators as it seems a safety compromise as regards the airbag deployment!

Thank you very much sjmaxwell. In the Midlands. Just switched to a Specialist for my last 'B' service and very happy with the work so will take the car to them.

Definately need codes read .The passenger seat pad is £420 and 4Hours to fit so the indie told me. I was in a panic 'cause the MOT's due anytime but the MOT station said it still is not part of the MOT .So panic over . Mine is only showing now when someone sits in the seat .I've had the seat out and checked all the wiring .

Hi can I ask what wire on the emulator connects to the seat wires, the wires I have under the seat are blue & white, brown, & red with black stripe.
Thanks
