Greetings, Citizens.
You may or may not be aware that I've been considering returning to the fold.. however my attempts at buying an AMG SLK have fallen by the wayside.
I'm therefore looking at a CLK.. with the proviso that is must have a V8 nestling under the bonnet.
Three likely candidates have come up on the radar.. I'd be interested in your views as to the pluses and minuses of each..
Blue CLK500 209
Blue CLK55 208
Gold CLK500 209
The 55 obviously earns plus points for being an AMG.. but it is older and has done a few miles. The blue 500 looks nice, but I prefer the interior of the gold one, which has a mere 22K on the clock.. as I only do c. 5K a year, this might hold onto its value better if it stays as a low mileage example..
I've no idea as to the differences in the spec. between the two 500's.. can anyone shed any light on the difference between Elegance and Avantgarde? I'd prefer a stiffer suspension setup, one of my colleagues has been given a 209 CLK as a courtesy car a few times and reckons that it's a bit of a boat..
Cheers,
Gaz
