Hi,
I've read some old posts about adjusting front wheel bearings. The general consensus is to tighten the clamp until the wheel binds, then loosen it slightly so the wheel is free to rotate. But others say this job is too easy to get wrong and run the risk over heating the bearings, causing failure. I'm just interested to know what the current members feel about this job. Is it a DIY job or not?
On a following topic, if the bearing adjustment does not work, how difficult is it to change a wheel bearing in a CLK320 W208?
Many thanks,
Will
