CLK Wheels Options

Hi Guys,

I am looking for some advice on changing the wheels on my 1978 CLK, it currently has the factory fitted 16" 5x112pcd I believe. I would like to upgrade these to a larger rim size (preferably genuine rims) but do not know what the vehicle is capable of accommodating.

Excuse my ignorance but any advice would be appreciated..

1978?

Either 208 or 209 can take 19" wheels. Most will recommend a maximum of 18".

They need to be staggered to look ok or the rears look lost in the arches.

There is no such thing as a 1978 clk.

sorry, obviously I was not on the ball, you are correct the vehicle is a 1998/99 model
CLK230.
