Only had the car a week or so but just noticed the bulb in the n/s front fog light is sitting at a funny angle and it also looks like water has got into the lens. It's not immediately obvious how to gain access to the light to remove it but I guess it's prob through cover in wheel arch. Can anyone confirm this for me please?

This is what happens when the bulb holder has not been refitted correctly, however the bulb DOES sit slightly askew in the lamp - compare it with the other one.
The best way to do this is to remove three screws that hold a plastic 'flap' under the lamp.
You can then put your finger into a hole in the flap and manoeuvre it so that it drops down.
You can then get your hand in and reseat the bulb. Best to get a light and check that it is seated correctly - it is easy to get it wrong and when it is lined up correctly it does feel as if it is too tight.
You can remove any condensation with a hair drier on the lamp.

Thanks Ted. Just been out to have a look and there are three screws holding on a grill. Once these are removed yes, I can get fingers behind the lamp to twiddle the bulb. The problem was that the bulb wasn't pushed down into its holder and then, of course the holder wouldn't sit properly in the lamp. So, in 5 mins I have solved that problem. The main problem now is that water has got inside the lamp and the reflector is rusting plus the glass is very dirty inside the lamp. Probably not worth messing with but just to get a new/used one and replace it. It's a Hella so I guess they're not cheap esp from M-B!

Thanks again for the help

I think they are around £80 when they come up on ebay.
It IS possible to put a cloth on a screwdriver and soak up the water/clean it up - it's actually surprisingly easy and effective.
Or tear off long strips of spontex (cheap from Tesco) will soak up lots of water.

Ted - there is no water in the lamp now but it has done its damage by corroding the relector and staining the inside of the glass. The glass may well clean uip with a bit of effort but I don't think the reflector will. No great rush until the Winter stes in so I'll keep my eyes open and hope to pick up a 'used' one at some point. Cheers
