Yes, I've had a few but the 460 is out of my price range and petrol only.
I want the slightly better diesel economy(i can get white diesel from work for next to nothing!)

Good point.

I'd still go with an LS on your budget though.

Might save enough on repairs to cover the extra cost, mileage dependent of course.

They're about double the money how big are my repair bills going to be!

I wouldn't want an LS430 as I prefer the LS400 styling and I've had to many of them.

Surely a 10 year old S class can't be that bad?

I had a 3 year old one and it was pretty bad, however:

It was a 2003/4 model.
I might have just got unlucky.
I had a warranty so I made the most of it.
It was a fantastic drive and I still miss it.

Still looking for an S class, it's surprising how few there are to choose from up my way!
I don't want silver unless it's an exceptional deal!
I'd travel for the right car, but no one likes replying to emails to sell their cars!
