I'm thinking of a retro fit reversing camera in my 2010 CLS which has NTG2.5.

What do I need to make everything work? Is OEM better than after market, which will give me guidance lines? I want it to work just by selecting reverse and display on the Comand screen.

Anyone used Mercedes Navigation in Manchester New Mercedes CLS Reverse Camera NTG 2.5 / NTG4.5 2008 onwards
Is £400 fitted a good price, I need to check this is with OEM parts?

If I buy my own camera and I need to code the Comand what are the collective thoughts on this Reverse Camera UMI TV Tuner Connection In Mercedes A/B/CL/CLC/CLS/E/GL Class | eBay

Anyone know where the OEM camera fits?

Thanks for reading.

Nice addition, but £400.00! Does your CLS have PDC? I'd save the money, just my opinion though :) If your set on the idea I'm sure you can retrofit generic cameras a lot cheaper.

Pretty sure the camera solts in where one of your number plate lights goes, so I'd imagine one side not being as bright as the other.... i did a subtle upgrade with the 18 led number plate lights, no error code, doesn't light up the road behind me and gets rid of that yellow glow. £25.00 fitted myself.

Thanks MWCLS,
I've fitted LED number plate bulbs in the existing holders, looks good. I've also seen cameras on EBay that change 1 number plate light cluster and has a camera in half of it. They're only £59 too, but it looks like you need an interface for £199, which is why £400 fitted and coded didn't seem too bad.

It's a nice toy to have, nice addition, me personally have gone bonkers on detailing products, probably spent that in the last week, only thing that would put me off the camera is the rear view with the camera on view, I like symmetry... weird haha

I haven't had the time or the weather to get on to the detailing yet. I've just been snow foaming and hand washing through the winter.

I really want to clay, de-iron and machine polish before building up some protection. I bought a DA but not had chance to use it yet, something to look forward to.

Yes getting bored of the rain now. Tbh I've just left mine in my garage its clean and just use the wife's car (it's filthy) but when we do get a rest bite from this weather ill be putting all my detailing products to use. I've got a DA to, can't wait to try out my new products. I'm no professional but still takes me 3 days to clean the CLS properly. ..wife thinks I've got issues..I think she is right. Lol
