Mini (real one) CLS320
I have decides that due to lack of interest in my wheels I am going to keep them, but I will be doing a refurb before they go on to the car.

Any suggestions on colour will be most welcome.

The car is silver grey/blue cant remember the actual name of the colour

And the wheels are 18" AMG 5 Spoke

Colour suggestions please

I like the titanium finish, two of my cars have this finish, so I've chose anthracite.

And they ^^ aren't AMG wheels.

They are the wheels that come with the cls amg so I assumed they were.

cls amg which one do you have the 55 or 63?

the 5-
spoke light-alloy wheel is
standard on the CLS 500
and available as an option
for
the CLS 320 CDI and the
CLS 350. Also available
for mixed-size tyres –
245/40 R 18 at the front
and 275/35 R 18 at the
rear

Not standard for cls amg's

(text from international cls brochure)

Oh. Regardless. I will be refurbishing them before they go on the car.

Well I would keep them silver. Matt Black won't go with the body colour. May be a light gun metal. Anyway. Nice wheels

Something not right with those wheels look at the amount of balance weights on them, either someone doesn't know how to fit tyres or the wheel is bent. I'd get them checked first if I were you as you might be throwing money away. You should be able to balance any wheel with 50g or less if you can't theres a problem :thumb:

I did wonder that, but it doesn't seem to have any obvious damage, but I will get them re-balanced.

How far are you away from Wheels in Motion at Chesham? I'd let Tony and his boys have a look and run them up to see if they need repair before refurb :thumb:

It could be someone just doesnt know how to fit tyres but If I were spending the money on the refurb its worth a check first

Miles away, I am near Bath

I do believe I have found the problem, :fail

How did I not spot this!?!?!

I am in contact with ebay now to see if there is anything I can do :(

I cant imagine there is much they can do as I bought them in February :fail

Sorry for you fella - I've been there with a set of Ebay wheels where one was buckled, even though you couldn't see it.

Take my advice and get rid of that one - I don't think a welded wheel is worth the risk. The weld indicates a crack, in my view.

Too risky!

Well spotted Ian.

I wont be fitting it thats for sure :(

Ebay were no help, I have sent the seller a text as I still had his number but I cant imagine he will be coming back to me anytime soon :wallbash:

If it was a private seller on ebay I doubt there will be anything you can do other than ask the seller politely for a refund or part money back. As above, just replace the one wheel - I wouldn't want to be driving around on it.

I looked at Alloy Wheels Direct to source a new one, but they were more expensive than a main dealer, who was prepared to negotiate.

If it's any consolation, my wheels on the S212 are £1047 + VAT each .

Keep that in mind, and the £400 or so for yours will seem a bit more palatable.
