Would 19x8.5 ET25 fronts and 19x9.5 ET28 rears CLS wheels fitted with 245/35/19s and 275/30/19s fit and E55 without rubbing?

I have used the search function but have found mixed opinions. Anyone actually tried this size?

Thanks

Good info in those threads. All should be fine if the car is at standard ride heights, but may become an issue if you lower it.

Acid lowered mine slightly on STAR, with no ill effect.

I should add that I kept to standard E tyre sizes of 245/275, though I understand that the CLS tyre size of 255/285 will clear.

Have fitted CLS wheels to several W211s, both saloon and estate. They fit, no rubbing and fill the arches very well.

I egg'd developer on to go ahead with the CLS wheels on his last car and i'm sure he didn't regret it!

The wheels gave the car a fantastic look/stance :thumb:.

Yes, I know. I think they are very understated wheels. To me they look perfect on that E and they came from CLS.

John, did your car have CLS wheels when I took this picture?

CLS wheels with tyres as you state may rub on the back, just because the offsets will push the wheel out a little and at the moment 275/35/19`s are the max I can get on with the 211 offset.

Is that only because yours is lowered though Alps? I could see how tight yours were when I had a good look at Trax and as you say there is no way a CLS offset even with 275 tyres would fit. The CLS offset pushes the wheel out by 5mm when compared with 211.

Must be just because yours is so low, or because you're quoting the wrong tyre size.

We have a E270cdi saloon with 19" CLS wheels on and an E320cdi estate, neither rub with 275/30/19 tyres on them.

The silver one could do with coming down 20mm. The estate is on air and sits nice and low (not as low as your sig pic though!)

219 CLS AMG tyres are 285 at the rear and 255 at the front
