Coat 12 :)

Much above 3 layers and your adding no benefit, the solvent and carriers in the wax have to bond to a molecule surface in order for the wax to achieve it's result. By applying the fresh coat of wax you are going into the prior layer substrate. Basically there is a point where no matter how many +layers are applied it will reach it's final barrier level.

To a degree you could at this point be starting to deflect the finish and start to mute down the flake.

However, from a feel good point of view, cool them apply as many as you wish : ) - nowt wrong with that. :D

Can you help. These cars look incredible. How/what products do i need to buy to get mine looking so good.

You can spend as much or as little money as you want but the main requirement is effort and elbow grease. I use some readily available products like turtlewax and carplan products, but Autoglym cover most bases and products like their tar remover and Vinyl and Plastic treatment are must haves. I'm using a sealant by Gtechniq (C2).

You can spend £5000 for a pot of wax if you want but few go that far. Read some of the threads by professional detailers and you'll see what they do.

DO NOT use car washes, sponges and wiping blades!

Thanks for the info. Much appreciated. I'll stock up on some new equipment and post the results.
