Code reading

I, and several others on here, use Torque, either Lite (free) or Pro (paid) by Ian Hawkings.

I use it on a Android, but I know that pontoneer on here uses it on ios as he also had to go for the wireless type you mention and not the bluetooth which apparently only works on Android.

It's an excellent little app, and the Lite should do what you want, but the pro version has loads of extras and, at <£3 it's a worthwhile investment.

Thanks for that I will try Torque lite just to see how it all works and get the pro version as I get familiar with the way it works .What sort of things can be done with the Torque pro.

Lots of stuff apart from the basic fault code reading and re-setting.

Real time information including graphs and logging, timers, maps etc. Also loads of add-ons which I've not even started playing with yet

Is there any apps for IOS that can read fault codes and reset faults and deal with the maintenance side of things more.

I've just read that the Torque Pro (OBD 2 & Car)
Can do this
It can also show and reset a DTC / CEL / fault code like a scantool. Helps you fix your car and helps keep repair costs down!
I'm not sure but does this read any fault codes or just certain ones

The only Torque I can find relates to bolt torque. Where did you find the Torque Pro?

Just seen it on google, but it is also posted on this thread, I'm new to this so I'm after as much info / help as possible I want the best and the cheapest lol don't we all cheers

Blimey that's taking it a little to far for me all I'm after is a good app for my I pad so I can read / reset trouble codes and what ever else is possible but thanks anyway

Morning Chris.

The OP has bought the wireless reader as he has an Apple type thing so can't bluetooth it apparently. GVM: THIS is the app in question. I wouldn't be without it now and it's used everyday here. :)

Just try the free version. It should do exactly what you need resetting the fault codes, and is a breeze to use. :)

Pretty sure that Torque is only available on android.

It's called EOBD Facile on iPhone App Store and it takes quite a bit of setting up

Sent from my iPhone using MBClub UK

O well I've been in contact with the sellers of the elm 327 wifi diagnostic connecter and told them what's wrong or or should I say what ain't going on and they've told me it seems it ain't compatible and are going to send me a replacement as soon as mine has been returned will keep you informed fingers crossed

Did you go into the wifi settings and change the IP address like it shows you on the ebay ad ? took me ages to get the right settings from all the combinations
