Codes conundrum

E320CDi Estate - gone E320CDi Saloon - written off CLS 350CDi Coupé
Having clearer all of the fault codes on my car, using my iCarsoft CR V2.0, I then started it up again today and quite quickly got presented with the ESP inoperative, Run Flat Indicator inoperative, and Speedtronic inoperative messages.

Reconnecting the code reader, I again ran the full diagnostic to see what would show. This is what it found:
4D41 - One or more signals sent from control module N80 (Steering column module) via the CAN bus is unreasonable;
7266 - DTR Distronic Consequential fault;
9062 - No CAN data was received from control module SCM (MRM);
9334 - Component N49(Steering angle sensor) is defective;
9352 - Steering angle sensor speed too high;
9211 - There is a discontinuity in the line to component M21/1r1(Mirror heater) or the compnoent is defective;
905A - Fault in CAN communication with control module Central gateway

So, a lot of these seem to relate to both something to do with the steering angle sensor and CAN module(s).

Considering the issues that are being displayed by the car's warning indicators, and these fault codes, does anybody have any suggestions as to a next course of action?

Should I try to find out what the steering sensor issue is about and replace it? What is a CAN?
Any help gratefully received thanks.

Just wondering, after seeing something elsewhere, could any of this be related to changing the battery? Are the sensors etc.. that need to be reset after a battery change?

CAN = Controller Area Network, a device that allows sensors, controllers etc to communicate.

Run flat indicator uses ESP. Your list doesn't tell us which module is shown which error code.

If you disconnected the carsoft in the middle of diagnostic (without quitting in an orderly fashion it could have left the ESP confused). I'd plug Carsoft back in, do the quickest, and then tell carsoft to disconnect from the car (if you can, I only use Xentry / Star)

Cheers
Richard
