Hey guys,

when you turn on your car first thing in the morning what do you tend to do?

Do you wait for a few minutes for the car to warm up then drive it or just drive it immediately at a moderate engine speed?

I personally wait for a few minutes before I drive it, just to let the oil move in the engine etc.. what's recommended?

Thanks, hope everybody is well:thumb:

Wait for the rev's to drop to below 2k then drive off. Otherwise it feels like I have my foot on the accelerator when braking.

I do this too, which is usually by the time my garage door opens, I've put some music on, folded out my mirrors and fastened my seatbelt!

I also wait for the revs to drop before moving off and then drive it gently for the first few miles. My wife on the other hand is of the 'start up and gun it ' opinion. Women eh! Cant live with em, cant shoot em.

start up, seat belt, radio,
then if they have not already, wait for revs to drop, then off we go..!

Start-up, listen to the V8 roar, wait for revs to drop (doesn't take long), then set off.

Does anyone know what it says in the user manual?

Here's the rough translation from the original german language operation guide:

"Just stop faffing about and drive the bloody thing. It's not going to fall apart on thee"

LOL!:thumb: I know, really good advice there buddy, but i'm one of them people who worry.

Just thought i'd see what people think, I hear people saying leaving the car to warm up for a few minutes isnt going to help the engine..

I start the car and almost immediately drive away, but i dont rev it above 2.5k until its hit normal operating temperature.
