Collapsable space saver tyre

Wow, thanks for posting this. I was looking at the spare in my SL and wondering how on earth it could work. At least now I'll know if I ever need it that it's really not about to burst when I inflate it. Amazing. Thank you.

I cant help but think (with all the stickers on it) of Back To The Future.

"If my calculations are correct, when this baby hits 88 miles an hour. You're gonna see some serious ****."

I have a huge problem with spacesavers.

In a borrowed Audi TT Roadster, I suffered a puncture.

I was faced with the decision of jettisoning my passenger, or leaving an expensive alloy at the side of the road. Now, the passenger had large breasts, so I hid the wheel in some bushes and went back for it later.

Was a nervous few hours though.

Agreed. Sods law dictates that you will have a puncture when there is no room to put the wheel anywhere in the car.

The wheel of this particular Audi TT was actually too large to fit through the boot. Sods law had it pinned, there was nothing in the boot at the time.

OEM wheels, too...

TT doesnt even come with a spare as standard so lucky you had one in the one you borrowed.

Very informative, thanks for posting.:thumb:
