Came across this collection of photos of various W124 bits. Quite instructive in many ways with a good section on sportline suspension for example. I don't think the owner has got round to building his website yet so it remains a collection of photos albeit in subdirectories on individual areas. The chap has been fairly active on American forums for a number of years. He goes by the names AMGDave and gsxr. I'm planning a W124 LSD thanks to his posts on the subject. He seems to know his stuff.

I was going to do the same. using the 126 carrier? Apparently the clutches wont last very long? Or is there a better solution?

It's still just an idea for later in the year but more info here.
Another possibility is a 'phantom grip' device.
