Miro, are you saying that you wouldn't recommend these brackets ?Originally posted by Miro 09.10.05
Yeah the W210 ones are L shapped and they sit in their own small space. Held in with two screws ....
I dont think I would be floating the unit !

Anyone got the part number for the the 'L' brackets as usually I get blank faces from the dealer !
kwano said:Thanks Alfie. From the W210 guides I've seen I've not seen the mention of these 'L' brackets and from looking at the Comand unit I can't picture where they would fit
I've just secured the new fasica and pushed in the Comand. Yes it fits snuggly to the fasica but I can imagine it can be released and whipped out quickly by some would be opportunists ! The twin spring clips do very little in this set up to stop the unit being taken out even without the MB keys.
I would be more comfortable if it was more secure and I think these brackets could make a difference. Are these brackets available from a UK dealer and is there a part number ?

If you didn't have the speed pulse set up it'd only update your position on the map every 10 seconds or so, which makes navigation impossible.kwano said:I guess if the speed signal was wrong it wouldn't position me correctly on the map and I'll be in all sorts of funny places !
