Comand GPS Problem

Morning...

I've just bought my C32 AMG Estate and I've only just started to to try and familiarise myself with the SAT-NAV on the Comand Unit.

For some reason when I try to search for my current loaction it's centres on a place just outside Harrogate (195+ miles away), so of course all the routes are calculated from there which is a bit useless?!

I've checked the CD and its an official Teleatlas one, but its slightly out of date (2005)

I actually bought the car from near Harrogate so that might have some relevance, but I don't really know.

Is it just a case of pressing some 'special button' or resetting the Comand unit? And if so, what does that entail?

If anyone could shed some light on this it would be greatly appreciated.

You need to calibrate your comand....you can set your present location.
How many sats are you picking up?

Press the map button and this will show how many satellites you are receiving. You need four for the unit to re-calculate where it is. If not, then you can tell it where you are by pressing NAVI -> Settings -> Location.
Park yourself in a known road, near a junction and run through the location settings. This will fix it for now.

If you are not getting any satellites or just a few (maximum is 8 on comand 2) then you have a problem with the antennae or its connection.
