I was sent a brochure this morning about Edition 125 pricing for the C and E Class and SLK.

This indicates that Comand Online will be available on the E Class at a greatly reduced cost over the current system. It will be £785 on the coupe (without a cd changer) and £1,035 on the saloon and estate (with a cd changer). Apparently the CD changer is not available on the coupe.

The list price of the 125 edition car is only £250 over the standard and so this represents a saving of about £1,200. It is supposed to be available from July.

I currently have a delayed order for an E350 Coupe and so hoping that this will apply to me, if they can actually supply the car. Dealer seemed to think that the parts issues with Japan are actually getting worse.

Any more info on the Edition 125??

I think Mercedes really need to get their ****s into gear when it comes to in car technology, they are getting seriously left behind.
BMW have had their online features for nearly 4 years now, and now have integrated smartphone connection too, so the nav screen, which is a 10" 1280x720 display, takes over the smartphone and all its apps.
So, you get proper internet access, or you can use facebook, or word, etc. and all controlled via the controller.

I have well and truly moved over to Mercedes now, however I do get a little annoyed when I see how far behind they are when it comes to tech, Mercedes were meant to be the class leaders, they are now seriously behind the rest.

I don't know what else it includes or if anything is different from the standard car. If anyone has any more information then maybe they can help?

ordered an e cabrio about a month ago and the order form says comans online system, so guess it is available now ?

Just checked my order and it says

512-command integrated 6 disc CD

I placed it on the 9th April and have a estimated factory collection date of 24th June and am waiting for that to be confirmed as definite.

I am pretty sure that version of Comand with the cd changer is not available. You may want to check with your dealer. I think they are substituting this with 527.

was told on 01/05/11 when i ordered my car, 6 disc comand not available. Therefore I would have to have single disc comand. They gave me 50% to the cost of an upgrade to HK sound for this :)

On the invoice it says Comand online system with media interface

Delivery is due 15/07

After questioning my dealer, I have now been offered a saving of £1,195 for the loss of the CD changer. Apparently this offer is from Mercedes and not the dealer and is effective from July. They have increased the price of the car by £250 but are doing Comand (without CD changer) for £785 as opposed to £2,230.

I am very happy with this and so my delayed order may have helped me out financially. Just need to get the paint sorted now, which they believe will be available again from September. Hopefully will have a build date by the end of this month or early July.

If anyone else has experienced the loss of the CD changer you may want to ask for the same deal.

Checked with my dealer today - E350 CDi Saloon ordered 14th April, build date 7th June, no changes to specification other than a previously agreed colour change. Proforma shows code 512.

is it an online system. Do you have a proforma or detailed quote yet?

Yes, the dealer has reissued all of the paperwork and it now shows Comand 527 at £785. As mind is a 350 petrol the road tax has gone down nearly £300 as well due to the new engine so the overall price has dropped by £1500!

I placed an order last week for Audio 20 with 6-disc changer, do you believe that the changer is unavailable across the whole board?
The dealer said he wont know about any part delays until confirmed by MB themselves in a couple of weeks.
Hopefully Comand is available at that discount for everyone - I would definitely take the upgrade :thumb:

Spoke too soon! Now told I'll be getting the Comand without the CD changer. They also forgot I specified Personal Collection so the car is being shipped, which is a bit annoying.

They've said I can cancel and reorder - or have the Comand free of charge. Get the car in two weeks :).

Sounds like a very good offer!

All very interesting and we are obviously getting conflicting information.

I spoke to my dealer today as my car has been delayed to an estimated date of 19/7 collection from the factory where as before it was 24/6. This car will not have command online but will be minus the 6 CD Changer.

He also has been making enquiries for me about command online and tells me that command online is available but only on cars being built after 1/7. There are only limited slots available due to parts and he has secured me a slot that means I can get my car delivered with command online but not until the middle of August.

I am away end of August so have opted to ditch factory collection and pick up from the dealer. Seeing as I am not back in the country until 3/9 I have opted for a 5/9 collection which will give me the new plate.

That's quite a long delay, although you are still ahead of me, as I still don't have a build date. Are you getting it at the reduced price?

further to my earlier post comand online is not available on an E class

the saleman today confirmed this today and said it would not be in the near future either. MB have not even confirmed a date yet

Couldnt get a discount for not have a 6 disc changer either (not that I really wanted it anyway) As I bought the car via corparate sales, ie not a main high street dealer, the maximum discount had already been applied to my cabrio. Not sure whether to be pleased or miffed by that statement !

I was told no change to pricing.

Not sure what to believe now after seeing the last post but guess time will tell.
