Comand Online Coming to E Class

Have to disagree with both of the last two posts. I have a copy of the revised Mercedes pricing which shows quite clearly that online is available from July and at a price of £785. I am happy to send it to you. If you would like it then send me a pm with your email address.

I was told that the comand online is now £785 and they can offer comand until the end of the year on its own for £500.

Also the 125th Anniversary Edition was going to offer comand online and rear seat entertainment for an additional £1400 along with a few little extras like new interior options. But did say that had not been confirmed.
But see a few online brokers and contract hire places offering the 125th edition now so surely they must know what it offers?

To be honest all of this drives me mad why can't MB get their act together and supply everyone with the same information.

This is the most difficult time I have ever had trying to buy a new car.

Just realised that the info is on my work computer and so I will send it to all who asked first thing Monday morning. I have never had this much hassle ordering a new car either. Fed up with keep getting different stories from MB. Every time I get a build date it gets cancelled and still don't know when I will get the car. I have been very close to cancelling a few times!

Information now sent to those that requested it!

I got it thanks and makes for interesting reading.

Have sent the attachment to my dealer for comment (obviously removed your email details)

Hopefully you will get the reduced price. I can't see any reason why not. It may be that your dealer didn't know about this. As you said in your earlier post MB seem very poor at distributing information.

If you look on the website, there is still no mention of the 2012 MY changes or an updated price list. This is really terrible as anyone who didn't know would be looking at cars that are no longer for sale.

Hope that I'm making the right decision to switch from BMW, as from what I have experienced so far, Mercedes customer service seems pretty poor.

The price for the E350 sport OTR on the doc you sent is £39,395 and the previous price is OTR £38,765 so the new price is £630 OTR more.

The command online is £785 in the new pricing and the old pricing for command was £2,230.

So £2,230 minus the £785 and the £630 makes the car with command £815 cheaper now.

I am waiting for confirmation and if correct I am just going to add the 19" alloys and with the discount I should get them as well for a little less than I was originally paying. :)

I thought you are getting an E350 coupe. The price is £38,880 which should only be £250 more than it was before so you will save even more money!

You are right I looked at the wrong price. Amended figures below

The price for the E350 sport OTR on the doc you sent is £38,880 and the previous price is OTR £38,765 so the new price is £115 OTR more.

The command online is £785 in the new pricing and the old pricing for command was £2,230.

So old price £38,765 + command at £2,230 = £40,995

New Price £38,880 + Command Online at £785 = £39,665

Difference £1,330

Glad you've managed to get some info about COMAND

I ordered my E350 saloon mid April from a broker on a contract hire basis. They accepted the order based on the then current retail offers including free metallic and £750 contribution to COMAND.

Then I was told that they couldn't get 6 disc changer and single disc meant about £180 off the total cost. Delivery now early Aug

Now confused as broker says the supplying dealer knows nothing till the car arrives, yet some of you guys have had new price lists and offered deals on the new pricing

I want to make sure that I get the right deal and don't get screwed over. I can't use the PM system yet as my post count is too low. Does that mean I can't receive as well as send ,or could a kind soul forward me the new pricing?

New Price £38,880 + Command Online at £785 = £39,665

Difference £1,330

The extra saving will be down to a reduction of RFT due to the lower emissions of the new engine. For me, it made a further reduction of nearly another £300 as mine is a 350 petrol. Hope your dealer offers you the new deal.

Jules355, looks like I need to get my post count up before I can use PM . Hopefully soon and I can request the info , if the offer still stands of course

further to my earlier post comand online is not available on an E class

the saleman today confirmed this today and said it would not be in the near future either. MB have not even confirmed a date yet

Couldnt get a discount for not have a 6 disc changer either (not that I really wanted it anyway) As I bought the car via corparate sales, ie not a main high street dealer, the maximum discount had already been applied to my cabrio. Not sure whether to be pleased or miffed by that statement !

I fwd the email kindly sent by Jules335 on here. Dealer has now come back to me and said comand online is available from late july on cabrio, despite what he said above on friday !!!!!!!

I wish MB and dealers would get their act together

I am now having delivery in sept with the new license plate number. However stealer says he has to work out a new price as base cost gone up !

Thanks Jules for that email, it has helped by giving the dealer a kick up the wotsit no end !

Glad that it was helpful. The base price has gone up £250 so you will be still be about £1,200 better off and have a new version of Comand.

The lack of communication is ridiculous. When I first ordered my car, it was because someone on here said that the new engines had been confirmed from June onwards. When I spoke to my dealer they said they didn't know anything about it and it was only when I showed them the information that was sent to me that they realised a new model was imminent. I wonder if they just play dumb to clear old stock or to keep their margins.

There are three of us expecting E coupes and cabrios in September now. Lets just hope that Mercedes are capable of delivering...

I have a new slot and a delivery date of 23/8 with collection from the dealer on 5th Sep when I am back from holiday.

If it gets delayed again I am cancellling.

Still waiting for confirmation of my slot, but I have told my dealer the same. Any more delays and I will also be cancelling.

Perhaps it is the change to the 2012 MY that is contributing to this?

Any more info on the Edition 125??

I think Mercedes really need to get their ****s into gear when it comes to in car technology, they are getting seriously left behind.
BMW have had their online features for nearly 4 years now, and now have integrated smartphone connection too, so the nav screen, which is a 10" 1280x720 display, takes over the smartphone and all its apps.
So, you get proper internet access, or you can use facebook, or word, etc. and all controlled via the controller.

I have well and truly moved over to Mercedes now, however I do get a little annoyed when I see how far behind they are when it comes to tech, Mercedes were meant to be the class leaders, they are now seriously behind the rest.

Don't get too envious - I bought a new BMW330d and the navigation / infotainment is rubbish compared to my quite old CLK. The internet access is an illusion - in the UK at least its restricted to google search, nothing more, and the smart phone functions are limited to blackberry. So nothing to get excited about. Perhaps Audi do a beter job, BMW certainly don't.

Have you actually looked at the routing on the latest comand?! Now that is truly shocking. ;)

I have used the new BMW nav extensively and think it is great.
It streams bluetooth audio no problem.
It shows all the album artwork.
The google search works pretty well and allows you to then send your results to the nav or phone.

Have you got the latest 6NR option with the proper snap in adapter?
Is that what is limited to Blackberry? That is disappointing.
