Comand Retrofit No Display

I've just installed COMAND 2.0 into my 2002 W208 and the screen does not turn on. The radio and cd changer work fine (they even show up on the dash display). Pressing the [ . ] button toggles button illumination, but still no screen. Please Help!

Was the unit tested OK before you fitted it ?

sounds like a problem with the actual unit rather than the installl..... have u tried pressing the FM button - radio station should show up - this should always work, if not then u have a faulty command i'm afraid..,.,.

I had a similar problem when the lights where set to auto. When you switch on you should see the MB logo.
Have you tried pushing the last button on the right above the screen, this cycles the screen from off-high-low intensity.also try turing the lights off before turning on the unit.
