- CLK 270 and BMW Z4 with a VFR750 sadly off the road
I read a post here recently concerning a case (or many cases!) of COMAND sat navs indicating the car is about 20yds behind where it really is on the road, for example says to "turn left" after you already have.
The discussion centred around whether this was "normal" or these COMAND units were faulty and the owners should take their cares in for warranty (if applicabale still).
I have just bought a 55 plate 2005 CLK 270 with COMAND and mine is doing this on the road, although the slight difference is that the voice says "turn left" at the right time, but the little arrow in the circle is lagging behind slightly.
Did anybody with the same problem ever get it resolved properly - is it a fault repairable under warranty, or is it just a feature of the COMAND sat nav?
Don't really want to part with my car so soon after getting it for however long it takes to repair, but if needs must................
