Comand Tv Tuner

I have an S Class 430L. SATNAV did not work. TV tuner did not work. Was told to replace tuner. Now, am told it might be the COMAND unit. Any ideas as to what's going on?

Can you be more specific with the "satnav did not work"? Did other features work fine like radio and cd player, did you just lose the position info or was it completely dead?
