Comand Unit Import from Lithuania

I too bought a W203 comand unit from some guy who was apparently in Lithuania. As far as I remember, it turned up within a week and was in mint condition.

However, I had heard stories of the comand units being nicked from cars and having damaged connectors on the rear where they were ripped out. So before I purchased, I asked the seller if the unit had any marks or damage anywhere. He said no so I bought it.

Only thing was, I fitted it in the summer and once it started getting dark I noticed the "Video" button seemed slightly dimmer than the others. No big deal though.

Hi,

for what it's worth, I got a Volkswagen RNS-510 head unit from a Lithuanian eBay seller, excellent condition (i.e. didn't appear to have been crow-barred out of a victim's car) and still working perfectly 18 months later...

Just look for a consistent pattern of good feedback for the same device that you're thinking of buying - dome devious gits have excellent feedback for selling hundreds of pairs of socks, doesn't mean they'll sell you a genuine Rolex...

Cheers,
Eddie.

Another happy customer here, bought mine from Lithuania too, and then acquired the DVD to sit in it ;)

Got mine form Lithuania, upon coding it turned out to be of Italian origin.

Nothing wrong with full process.

Ive had three units from Lithuania, all arrived within a week, all perfect condition, and all still working fine.:)

It's probably the same seller i bought two MFD 2 VW sat nav systems from, he had great feedback and the systems arrived a couple of days later.I saved a small fortune.......you should too.:thumb:

how much are they going on average from Lithuania? i mean, i'll probably be looking for something similar to Shude's set up seeing as they are similar cars...

can anybody tell where can i buy the command for X204 glk model?
is there any store link?
thanks

They surely must be nicked though - how else are they able to obtain loads of used COMAND units?

I'm on my 2nd W204 Comand from Lithuania and still cannot get it to work, it keeps blowing fuse 11, now scratching my head as to what is the problem or just bad luck and a 2nd faulty unit. The units could be from crashed right offs its no good him selling stolen as you know when its coded at merc whether legit so would not take long to trace back.
