'Evening all.
Thinking of swapping the 5 series for an E class estate, seen a 280 Elegance (W211 petrol) at a reasonable price although the cost to change is more than I have available in my 'change the car' fund currently.
Has anyone run a petrol one of these who can comment on reliability MPG etc?
I appreciate that diesel and Avantgard is the more common route to take but my priorities are quiet and comfort. I can claim 28p per mile for fuel only (HMRC rates + 2p) which would cover running a more thirsty petrol against a diesel.
Biggest downside I've discovered so far today is nearly £500pa VED
