The coolant warning light of my 1997 C200 does not light up when the ignition switch is switched on before the engine is started. The rest of the warning lights light up. I have removed the bulb at the back of the instrument cluster and tested it with a battery and found it to be working. But the coolant warning light still does not light up when the ignition is switched on. This problem happened before and I got it fixed at the workshop. The workshop claimed that they replaced the faulty wind screen wiper bottle level warning light float switch. I cannot find the connection between the coolant level and the windscreen wiper but I checked the wiper float switch anyway and found it working. Can any one help?
