How critical is the torque settings for water pump to engine ?. You have no room for socket never mind the torque wrench .How do you members get on at this stage of refiting the dreaded coolant pump. Just at this stage now .And should i use sealant on the pump face .Realy nasty job if it leaks from the o ring seal. I was lucky after 25 years ,and this is first pump replacement. Mine had coolant dripping from weep hole.

You can use a 1/4" drive socket set to tighten the bolts, the torque setting isn't massively important on those. As long as you've fitted a new o ring and the bolts are tight you'll be fine.

Best not to use any sealant on the mating faces too.

Hylomar is ok, it's the thick black silicone sealants that cause problems.:thumb:
