Create something to stop bumps/scratches when parking on road?

The most effective thing would probably be a steel container of the type used on cargo ships . Buy one , keep it on your street and park inside it , locking it securely whenever you leave your car inside.

Just like the Fiat Super Mirafury, that was delivered in a cage

I'm getting a vision now. Of a roof rack. You stop, get out of the car and press a button. As if by magic a fan starts. out comes an inflatable garage to cover the whole car.

Back you come. Press another button. Compressor goes into reverse. Inflatable garage fold back in on the roof.

Should I apply for a patent:D

i once came up with something similar.. well not for a garage.. but an outdoor canopy that came of the roof of our 123 estate, and provided shade of 1 metre around the sides of the car and 2 metre to the rear.. and one could host picnics etc in the jungle lol

im sure a Patent would be interesting... i never thought about it, but the idea of patenting an inflatable garage or inflatable cover is very unique..

let me see if my 10 year old drawings are patent worthy lol

There's a guy near me with a Jag XKR who uses something similar when he parks at the local Tesco! He takes out a set of magnetic rubber panels and sticks them to his car doors and wings and one each on the front and rear bumpers! I guess it works as his car is immaculate! Not sure if I could be bothered to do it every time I parked... :D
(also, what's to stop someone knicking them while you're away from the car and then making the car vulenrable...) :D

Not a bad idea, so long as it wasn't to anywhere like Southampton :D

Ha! I actually very much like where I live and the road I live on. But none of the houses have driveways. The result are very nice cars parked on the road, such as gorgeous early 90's Porsche 911 Turbo, Aston Martin DB9, and Merc SL 500...

The traffic cone idea actually isn't too bad.

Sell your terraced in North London and buy a 5 bedroom detached up north! And still have money to spare! :D:p
