cruise control problem s320 140 chassis

hi its stopped working suddenly and also when i 1st start the car it cuts out......normally it starts on the key 1st time any ideas what i need to look for its not the fuses or the breaklights etc iver checked all the obvious any ideas.......also anywhere EXCEPT dronsfields! bad experience with them! that i can go to get a 2nd hand part and have it fitted LOCALLY IN THE NORTH manchester/preston areas

You have not had tyres fitted recently and do not match I.e different size?

Check the MAF (mass air flow) sensor, search this forum...there are plenty of threads about MAFs. I replaced mine and it completely changed the personality of the car - its starts first turn, gear changes and driving are now silky smooth.
