Having never used a DA polisher, I would like to give it a whirl (pardon the pun) to remove a few light scratches on the SL and to get a better finish/shine on the bodywork. I have heard that the paint on the R230 SL is rock hard so was wondering what you experts thought of this kit. I have rubbed and rubbed with G3 Scratch Remover and T Cut to no avail. Is this any good or waste of money?

+1 vote for the megs, but I'm sure this kit would be fine too.

Which polish etc is a personal thing. I've tried some Megs products but prefer AG Bodyshop 01B hard polish, 02B and 03B paint renovation stuff and HD wax. I've also tried Swissvax Onyx and a couple of other waxes, but prefer HD. Others will say **** is the best - and there's brands from A (Autoglym) to Z (Zymol) so plenty of choice!!

Farecla G10 compound gives good results especially with a machine, available in 500ml bottles on e-bay for less than £14. Can also be used by hand if a small mark needs attention.

I believe the DAS-6 is pretty much identical to the Megs G220. Loads of advice on here Reflexboy, i have the DAS-6 with the Menzerna polish and it's cracking. I've pasted the link to when i polished my motor, however, if you go on the polished bliss website there's lots of information on there too:
