Daytime running lights for S63 front bumper ...

Hi. Anyone know whether it is possible to fit the S63 AMG bumper daytime running lights onto an S320 CDI that has had the S63 AMG bumper retrofitted?

Does anyone know the part number for the S63 daytime running light as opposed to the standard halogen S63 AMG round fog light?

Also, I've seen it on the 2010 S63 photos but not sure if the part is available yet to order.

By the way, noticed that Carlsson have just released a combined fog/daytimr running light pack for the standard W221 front bumper (and not AMG version).

Thanks.

Looks good :) Should be easy to fit those lights. The grills either side can be easily removed and modified if need be, although the grills and day time running lights should pair up without any modification. The wiring for those LED lights should be easy to connect to a convenient 12 V power scource such as your existing sidelights. Or the existing fog lamp wiring might do, possibly with resistors for the LED's if need be to prevent bulb error warnings

It looks like you just swap the two outside grills for the ones which take the LED lights.
Just wondering if I could fit those LED lights on my W220 .........maybe not, unless I get another front bumper

Hi there - can the LED lights be ordered yet though and anyone able to get a part number please?

MB dealer parts dept should know, but probably not !

Is there anything similar but suitable for the W203 available?
Nothing ostentatious. It must be subtle and in keeping with the MB image.

If you can get the chassis number of a W221 with the lights you want it will be a lot easier to find the part numbers U need. There are various part numbers with lots of different codes listed in EPC all as D.R.L

I am suspecting cars with option P35 "Light Package" get the led ones, and cars without get the round ones - but not familiar enough with W221 to know for sure

Further looking reveals: -

A221 820 13 56 Daytime running light LEFT, options 236+772+800+P35
A221 820 14 56 ditto RIGHT
Same part numbers for cars without P35

236=Day driving light
772 AMG styling
800 = MY2010
P35= Light Package (FFO)

Theres a bunch of parts called 'ornamental cover' which I think are the panel it sits in, but the part numbers are inconsistant..

I suspect the front SAM needs to be told (using Star diagnosis) that it has the different lights or it will put up a bulb failure error

Hi Richard. Any idea of pricing and availability please? Many thx

Sorry, I think U need to phone the local dealer !

Given your car is not a MY2009/2010 I suspect front SAM may not understand the lights so you may have to get some resistors to put in parallel to stop bulb warnings

All - having spoken to MB Colindale, they tell me that the part numbers are on the German parts database but not the UK one. The friendly chap there is going to contact MB in Milton Keynes to see what can be done to get it onto their UK database. Will keep all posted. Thx
