LOL my wife's Audi went into the garage for the oil pressure switch to be replaced, they got it mixed up with another car and fitted a new cambelt and water pump instead. Are you sure that ANY of the work you commissioned was actually done on YOUR car, and not the one parked next to it?

While I agree with the comments about the mix up being unacceptable , and that Steve ought to be put back in the position he previously was in , with matching tyres , I can only agree up to a point about the wheel .
Whilst it is true that the history of this 'new' wheel is unknown - it must be said , to be fair , that the same is also true of the other wheels ( including Steve's wheel which is now on someone else's car ) , after all - Steve only bought the car recently and has no more knowledge of the wheels before his ownership than he does of the one he has just 'acquired' .
Steve
We talked about this the other night and you did the decent thing and alerted the dealership of the error. They have done nothing to make you happy or accept this mistake.
Time to get this closed.
Just walk in and ask for the Dealer Principal - tell them nobody else will be suitable.
If met with a corporate firewall, pull out your telephone and call Milton Keynes from where you stand and tell them you are in the dealership with a serious problem and are getting messed around. That will get the DP out to speak with you.
Remember - it's THEIR problem with YOUR property. Negligence it the key aspect.
Remain calm, explain to the DP why you came back and tell him how upset you are having been treated the way you have been so far and that you are losing faith with the dealership. If no resolve, threaten to sue them.
Is this the reg vardy one just off j16 on the M8?

I have done. IMHO I feel its unfair for me to ask them for 2 new tyres for a matching axle, and this is the simple fair option for me, and their other customer.
I will go in next Saturday with the car, and if they do not offer me anything at all, (like the solution above or maybe 20% off tyres when I change them) I will complain to MB HQ and also MB Glasgow's own head office.
