The last two new cars I've bought the dealers have given my kids a toy car. Must cost them pennies, but the goodwill goes a long way and my son loves them and is always now keen to visit in case he gets another one.

Is it worth me talking the little darlings along tomorrow when I pick my new C Class? Or is it unlikely that they'll be as generous as VW & Fiat (!) and it'll not be worth the hassle of them wrecking the dealership while we do all the paperwork on the off chance?

Phone the salesman and tell him that your kids would be eternally grateful if they could have a new car each when Dad picks up his and see what he says.

The reality is that some dealers are more generous than others, so it's worth dropping a massive hint ;)

I'm in the process of speccing a new car, and they have a marque-specific sit-on/scoot-along "Bobby" car in the showroom. I'm fully expecting not to get a discount on my car - although it pains me to say it - so my challenge is to get a Bobby car for Baby D for free!!

I Guess it may be similar to these..

My farther inlaw tried it with a Brabus smart car they bought, asked about an SLK pedal car for our little girl... but they had none of it... offered a small discount.

I liked this from the Audi stand (Geneva show)

Bobby Car is a well-known German brand, junior BTB had a 'classic' model when he was younger

They're not particularly cheap though, you'll be doing well to get anything like that as a dealer freebie!

I will be shocked if they give you a toy mb foc.

Yeah, I've decided to leave them in nursery/after school club anyway. There's always service time...

fraid not. knowing MB you'll be lucky if they even acknowledge you are there.

Well, no toys but I'm happy to report that Mercedes-Benz Beaconsfield were courteous and professional, just as they have been up until now.
