Debadging Advice

Personally, the MB badges make a good car look better. I'm referring to the more powerful models.
I love the 'RS' badge on the front grill of the Audi's.
As others have stated, in the cold weather, heat gun/hair drier and dental floss, then heat up again and use an item of your choice
as others have mentioned on this thread.

Keep anything with a 63 or 55 OE, I'd say. That said, though, I'm almost tempted to debadge my ML63; without the 6.3 badges on the wings and the 63 on the tailgate, apart from the four tailpipes (which the boy racer alongside you can't see anyway) it's just another anonymous old ML - until the lights change...

And an anonymous de-badged EV, leaves you for dead. 😉🙂👍
Sorry couldn't resist. 😈🙂

1. Not that many EVs around.

2. Not that many boy racers drive EVs.

When I bought our Vito in 2007 most people would have had no idea that the "120" on the tailgate meant it had a 3.0 V6 and over 200 bhp, but I de-badged it anyway :)

Even though EVs aren’t yet popular with boy racers they are popular with Susan going to the monthly sales meeting in Slough, Steve popping to B&M for a big pack of toilet rolls, and Sian meeting the girls for afternoon tea because it’s been too long and we simply must do it again soon.

All of that said, you ML 63 is much much faster than anyone would expect an SUV of that age to be 👍🏻

It will be interesting to see what the boy racer types of all ages make of EVs. The most essential modification when modifying a car seems to be a 'performance' - i.e. louder - exhaust, but how exactly do you make a Dyson louder, and if you do, how do you prevent everybody laughing at you?

You don't make it louder, unless your an idiot! And would probably deserve to be laughed at. Having said that, each to there own. I don't even like the piped noise in the cabin, on some EVs, thankfully not mine. I like the idea of a Silent Assassin.
😉🤪🙂👍

W4nker. It's a Tesla; everybody knows it's an EV. Bit desperate, really...

“Louder” tricks the mind and makes it feel faster, even though relatively few performance exhausts - or exhausts mods - actually improve performance.

With a fast EV it’s already fast and feels even faster so maybe future generations of boy racers will be content with the feeling that it is genuinely fast.

I'm just rebadging my car! It came with none of the original badges (well to be honest mine was ordered new with boot lid badge delete) and just three (wings and tailgate) black AMG badges.....removed within a 48 hours of collection of the car. I was not going to put the Blue Efficiency badges back on the wings....but unfortunately there is a mark in the lacquer where they once where especially on the left....so the genuine MB badges I received yesterday will be going back on.
On the boot lid I'm just going for the stock, but black to match the wheels etc, E350 badge on the left (just measured the spacing on a car that was handily just in the work car park...with his permission of course!)......but I'm not replacing the CDI on the right....I'm not trying to pretend that its a petrol version.....but pointing out that a car is a derv is just asking for trouble from the idiots these days.
