Diff ratios

Update.

Engine/gearbox now fitting car. 2.47:1 diff located at scrappy in Lancashire and should be heading north beginning of May. Things are hotting up. :D
 
Sorry if this is slightly off topic... but is there much compatibility between diffs on mercs then? would love an LSD on the SL - how feaasible is a swap and what models had an lsd as std?

So the answer to the previous question is....yes, some diffs will fit but you have to pick the right one and be prepared to do a little work. :D:wallbash:

I was considering lowering the 2.24 in the 500 as 47MPH in 1st and 83 in second is a bit much!
